Holy Face

The Baroque façade of Villa Torrigiani in Camigliano. An ochre-colored plasterwork featuring architectural decorations in pietra serena and white limestone statues. Above the roof is a belvedere crowned with statues. In front of the villa is an English-style lawn, and to the side are large leafy trees.

Villa Bernardini di Vicopelago in spring, among the treetops of the garden. The villa is a three-story cubic volume. The ground floor features a portico with three arches. On the main floor, there is a small terrace adjacent to the atrium.

The executioner's house is a very simple stone building, leaning on one side against the walls of Lucca. It has small, irregular windows and a large door that leads to the basement of the San Salvatore bastion.
