Lucca Comics & Games gets back into the game. Watchwords: resilience and creativity. From 29 October to 1 November Lucca becomes Lucca ChanGes. A new Comics & Games Story. The most important community event in Europe dedicated to comics, games, video games, animation and fantasy imagery has been renewed in terms of use, to allow all fans of contemporary pop culture to live their own festival safely and in one's favorite way. The scheduled activities can be attended online at home and thanks to RAI television, in presence in the 115 specialized shops, comic shops and independent bookstores scattered throughout Italy that we call Campfire. The website www.luccachanges.com includes the complete digital program transmitted through the most famous streaming platforms and the festival's contents proposed by RAI tv. The 115 campfires, on the other hand, offer activities carried out in collaboration with the staff in Lucca, while a dozen historic buildings in the city of Lucca form the scenario for online events. All events taking place in Lucca are available in streaming.
The 2020 edition of the festival also goes beyond national borders, becoming a international event entitled "L'italiano tra parola e immagine: graffiti, illustrazioni, fumetti". 
From 19 to 25 October on the occasion of the XX Week of Italian language in the world the Campfires are also held in Italian Cultural Institutes, with a series of special initiatives, called Contemporary Comics, to spread and promote the culture of Italian comics.

Lucca Changes - Program OFF !. A new way of inclusion in the Lucca Changes event with the creation of the OFF! Program. With online activities (Digital-OFF), throughout Italy (Camp-OFF) or in Lucca (Lucca-OFF). The OFF Program! can be consulted on the festival's website.

The book Lucca Comics & Games: Storie e immagini del Festival della cultura pop is available on the platform from 6 October in pre-order. Edited by Christian Hill. A unique journey, between the faces and images of Lucca Comics & Games. In the online store of Inuit Bologna (store.inuitbookshop.com) the complete selection of titles of Italian and foreign self-production and micro-publishing is available.

The festival program:

Rich program for the movie area with a preview of Diabolik's exclusive contents, meetings on digital channels with directors and famous people from upcoming TV series and documentaries. There are also many events and celebrations of television series and special screenings.
The comic and music area offers meetings that deal with various topics: from gender identity to the sisterhood of the song "Le ragazze di Porta Venezia" di M¥SS KETA, from Max Pezzali, 883, the 90s and Dylan Dog to the Korean webtoons.

Ample space for the Japanese manga: The announcements from Lucca are back on the editorial news of Edizioni Star Comics.
Many appointments to celebrate some of the figures and characters who have made and make the history of Sergio Bonelli Editore with the program titled Between the present, past and future.
Lucca ChaNGes dedicates to the authors of One of those Days a digital exhibition that can be visited on the festival website curated by Alessandro DocManhattan Apreda.

3 events to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Super Mario Bros and a entirely digital edition for the Italian Esports Open 2020 by Vodafone of ESL with live streamings on twitch.tv/esl_it.

A national and international parterre of the highest profile for streaming events dedicated to fiction and fantastic illustration as well as to young people as protagonists.
A wide space is dedicated to meetings with operators and artists in the sector to raise awareness of the opportunities of the Creative Europe Culture and Media Program.

The Lucca Project Contest, the competition promoted by Lucca Comics & Games, with a multimedia space that virtually hosts the works of the 15 finalists of this edition, since their beginnings.
Starting from the Week of Italian Language in the world and until the end of the year, the Italian Cultural Institutes from all over the world can access this multilingual site to discover the secrets of the realization of the project, the participants, the winner, and the path that leads from the conception of a comic to its publication.
In addition to the web platform, the works of the finalists of the Project Contest are shown on display with a series of high definition panels / images, exhibited in as many as 30 Italian Cultural Institutes.

The 34th edition of the "Gioco inedito - Miglior Proposta di Gioco" is also starting. The competition organized by Lucca Crea and DV Giochi rewards the best emerging international game design project. The theme and its call will be announced at the beginning of November.

Lucca ChanGes is a completely free online event. Amazon reserves some digital meetings for those who place a minimum order on the online store. Refunds are foreseen for canceled meetings. Requests for refund of canceled events and for holders of the Campfire Pass 2020  entail the right to purchase a reduced ticket for the 2021 edition of Lucca Comics & Games.
