"...E LUCEVAN LE STELLE"

A Supermoon in July and then a double full moon in August, but the show that everyone is waiting for is the night of San Lorenzo with the amazing astronomical event of the "shooting stars".

On the city walls of Lucca, music features the most romantic event of summer.

"e lucevan le stelle" (and the stars were shining)... starts at 9.30 pm and then, throughout the night until past midnight. A more than 4 km long music path on the entire perimeter of the city walls. The city walls of Lucca will in fact be the exceptional stage of opera concerts on the ramparts, but also choral music and tango to listen to and dance to.

The barracks and the castles on the wall gates will host exhibitions, re-enactments with people in traditional costumes and the two civic towers will also be open to admire the starry sky and the lights of the city from above.

At the new Info Point on the city walls in the San Donato castle it will be possible to make an immersive visit inside the 5 most famous works of Claude Monet, reconstructed and animated virtually: Impression, sunrise, Woman with a Parasol, The Poppy field, the Haystacks series and Bridge over a Pond of Water Lilies.
