In the shadow of the city wall of Lucca, the 1st edition of the contemporary culture festival Lontani cosi Vicini Lucca Fest. A festival under the stars, on the Walls of Lucca, to reflect on contemporary issues and update memory. There will be important Italian guests , beautiful and unknown stories, all-round reflections on current events and music, contemporaneity and memory.
Eight events that cross Italian and International history with the commitment and testimony of people giving dignity to stories every day to tell the history.

In the program on Friday 7th of August

9.00 pm - Lawn behind the former Cavallerizza building in Piazzale Verdi - Lucca | "La difficile giustizia - La Repubblica italiana e i crimini di guerra". Guests of the evening are the historian and professor of the University of Pisa, Gianluca Fulvetti and the military prosecutor Marco De Paolis, who, between 2002 and 2008, instructed over 450 cases of war crimes during the Second World War.
