On 18 September 2020 at the Lu.C.C.A. - Lucca Center of Contemporary Art opening of the exhibition entitled "La realtà svelata. Il Surrealismo e la metafisica del sogno" (Unveiled reality. Surrealism and the metaphysics of dreams), curated by Silvia Guastalla and Maurizio Vanni.
A journey through 56 works on paper - including engravings, etchings, drypoints and color lithographs - of one of the greatest avant-garde art movements of the twentieth century: Surrealism.
The works of some great artists, from Magritte to Dalí, from Miró to Masson, from Matta to Bellmer, from De Chirico to Man Ray, show the relation between the components of mental alteration and the primordial instinct connected to the deepest unconscious and the clear desire to free man from conventions and preconceptions, bringing him back to desire the essence of reality.
On the occasion of the exhibition, a series of workshops, events, seminars, training courses, museum therapy sessions and book presentations will be proposed. The exhibition will be open until January 24, 2021.

Reservations required by phone at +39 0583 492180, by email at  info@luccamuseum.com or online.
