A modern interpretation of the famous monument by Ilaria Del Carretto, an icon firmly anchored in the collective imagination. Roberto Baronti, with his exhibition "Modern Ilaria. Il presente del passato”, gives a new guise, in particular about the famous funeral monument created by Jacopo della Quercia.
The present of the past becomes a memorial archive that stores our emotional experiences, but the artist adds his visionary touch. Modern Ilaria is sometimes a pretext, sometimes a suggestion: recognizable or not, the exhibition pushes visitors to go beyond the surface, to use their imagination.
