A special Epiphany in San Francesco with the Sacred Concert by Duke Ellington that will be performed at 18:00 from the Big Band Circolo del Jazz of Lucca, conducted by Maestro Paolo Biancalana, at the ideal conclusion of the Christmas holidays.

There is much anticipation for this unpublished event, organized by the Circolo del Jazz, with the contribution of the Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca Foundation, which on Sunday 6 January offers one of the most intense fragments within the great Ellington music production. A sacred monster of Jazz and Swing who knew how to decline their talent in the folds of the great social and cultural issues of African American integration in the United States, the "Duke" found inspiration in the Sacred Concert to create a coherent and spiritual composition in the name of the word "Freedom": Freedom.

With the Band, the choirs Animae Voces and Sesto in Canto will be the protagonists directed by Maestro Edoardo Materassi to complete a high level ensemble.

It is expected to sell out in the Church of San Francesco where it will end a party afternoon for the neighborhood that right in the square outside the church (16 hours) will see the Befana as usual for the usual distribution of socks organized by the San Francesco Committee and the Bastardo district that promote the event with the Municipality and the Province and the support of the Crl Foundation.

A beautiful conclusion for the Christmas period, also in the sign of solidarity, given that UNICEF volunteers will be present in the church to raise funds to support the many projects of the international organization.
