24 portraits of great cycling heroes (Gino Bartali, Fausto Coppi, Francesco Moser, Marco Pantani, Eddy Merckx and many others) and 6 works by the English artist dedicated to fantasy and to the relationship between the artist and author of the 2015 Lucca Comics & Games poster with Lucca. A small house of arts where painting, sculpture, modernity, ingenuity and beauty give life to a unique experience.

12 giant inflatable marbles for four city landmarks,  from May 1, will be installed in four squares, San Michele, San Frediano, San Francesco and in front of Caffè delle Mura, and will host the works of the international artist, whose originals are on display at the church of San Franceschetto.

They can be visited free of charge in May, from Saturday 4 to Sunday 2024.

Each location will have a stand and information totems to guide the public on a tour of the city of Lucca.

LA LUCCHESINA

Organised by Lucca Marathon Association. 

Edition number 13 of the recreational-motor walk. A light-hearted walk, of about 10 km, aimed at athletes and families, through the most evocative streets of the city, admiring the monuments and historical sites. Arrival, again in the same square, with refreshments and rich race packs for all participants.
For the occasion, all athletes will be given a pink technical jersey to mark the arrival of the stage in Lucca.

DRESS THE GAZZETTA

Environmental artist.
He creates artefacts with recovered and reused paper and cardboard. 

Since 2002, Maestro Ivano Vitali has been twisting paper into thread in his atelier in Lucca, combining thicknesses and colours of paper with different stories, supermarket receipts, magazines, newspapers, cinema tickets that become large balls and then tapestries, clothes, installations...

An ecological art, the thread comes from recycling, does not require water, glues, dyes, fixatives, etc., and can go back into the recycling chain. 

For this unique occasion, Ivano expanded the collection of clothes made only with the Gazzetta dello Sport by adding some unique and unrepeatable models.

THE PINK BIKE RIDE

Organised by Associazione Sportiva Cycling Team.

Non-competitive 12-kilometre cycling event for bicycles of all types in the heart of the city and on the Walls in anticipation of the arrival of the Giro.
The first 500 registered participants will receive a pink jersey as a souvenir and a pink banner cover.
Refreshment at the Caffè delle Mura with focaccia and cold cuts.
