Special evening dedicated to the choreographies that made the allegorical floats of  Viareggio's Carnival in the 2017 edition extraordinarily fascinating, in the exceptional location of the Teatro del Giglio in Lucca.

The event is dedicated to Gilbert Lebigre, the internationally renowned artist and author of extraordinary allegorical floats for the Carnival of Viareggio, who died in 2016. Gilbert Lebigre, with the Compagnia del Carnevale, was a profound innovator, giving to the performers on the allegorical floats a new and more engaging role. With the famous "ballerina",  winner in 2004, "Scusate se ci divertiamo, balla che ti passa", realized with Corinne Roger and Arnaldo Galli, revolutionized the role of the performers, creating a show inside the carnival event. Today, the choreographies enrich the exhibition of the allegorical floats in the carnival parades, along with the care of costumes, tricks and dancing enhancing the theme of the float to inspire spectators.

 

On the stage of the Giglio Theater performances of masked groups of the allegorical floats of Roberto Vannucci, Jacopo Allegrucci, La Compagnia del Carnevale, Umberto and Stefano Cinquini and Massimo Breschi, the "I Salmastrosi" group and others will be shown. During the show, the images of the giant floats parading will recreate the atmosphere of Viareggio's Carnival.
