The Lucchesi nel Mondo association opens the busy calendar of activities in September with an exhibition, from 2 to 29 September, entitled Il Re dei Lucchesi (The King of the Lucchesi) at the castle of Porta San Pietro.
The exhibition, curated by Bruno Micheletti, is dedicated to worship and devotion, in Lucca and in the world, of the Volto Santo (Holy Face), truly the Re dei Lucchesi, as depicted on coins according to the iconography reserved for the rulers. Original images and documents from the 16th century to the present day are exhibited.

Saturday, August 31 at 6:00 pm - inauguration of the exhibition entitled  Il Re dei Lucchesi (The King of the Lucchesi).
2 / 29 September opening of the exhibition with the following times:
9:30 am / 12:00 pm from Monday to Friday
4:00 pm / 7:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
