The protagonists of contemporary art in a winter cycle of projections at the Fondazione Ragghianti. Four screenings of videos, films and documentaries on art. Curated by Alessandro Romanini.

The exhibition "L'arte sull'schermo" is part of the line of research traced by Carlo Ludovico Ragghianti, one of the first to believe in the potential of the language of cinema as a tool for both critical, art education and training of the public.

Scheduled today:

Saturday, February 1st
17:30 - Ragghianti Foundation, conference room "Vincenzo da Massa Carrara" | Christo. Walking on water, by Andrey M. Papunov. In English with Italian subtitles.
The first meeting is dedicated to behind the scenes of "The Floating Piers", the Italian work created by the American artist of Bulgarian origin Christo on Lake Iseo in 2016, ten years after the death of his wife and artistic partner Jeanne-Claude, and designed with her since the 1970s.

"Christo. Walking on Water" by Andrey M. Papunov is the reportage that recounts, in the most vivid details, the entire process that led to the development of this enormous environmental work of art. Accurate and detailed, the film returns to the viewer high-impact images of the posing of one of the most complex and most visited site-specific art installations ever, with over one and a half million people in just sixteen days. Against the backdrop of this epic and memorable madness, with complex negotiations between art and politics, engineering challenges and logistical feats, the director documents the unfolding of the artist's dream.

Introduction to the vision by Alessandro Romanini.
