44th edition of the Sagra della zuppa di Aquilea (Aquilea Soup Festival).
The main course is the Aquilea Soup from this year become PAT (Typical Agri-food Product of Tuscany), made by the skilled cooks of the country, based exclusively on local vegetables and flavored with a selection of wild herbs typical of the area.
The soup, a true institution in the local cuisine, is also celebrated with the Challenge of the Soup which compares chefs from across the province every year.

The food stands open every evening from 7:00 pm.

The menu of the festival for this weekend (9 - 10 - 11 August) offers:

tortelli all Friday, the gnocchi (10-11 August) always done by hand and with local products
grilled specialties, roast tripe
cakes with beaks of cream and chocolate vegetable
Wine and oil from the companies of Aquilea.

Every evening musical entertainment thanks to the presence of music for ballroom dancing. Moreover:
Friday 9 August - Dj Marco Bresciani
Saturday 10 August - Dj concord musica years 80-90
Sunday 11 August - Amedeo Smooth orchestra and group dances.

Possibility to bring 4-legged friends.
A children's play area is available.

To reach Aquilea from Lucca: follow the signs for the SS 12 Brennero, heading north. Once routed on the highway, it will be sufficient to follow the local indications for Aquilea.
