It opens today at the Ilaria hotel "Solilunio", a personal exhibition of the painter Valente Taddei, curated by the BessArte gallery in Lucca.

A series of recent oil and ink paintings on paper are on display: synthetic works with a narrative slant, in which a tiny individual - unmistakable protagonist of Taddei's works - finds himself in situations constantly in the balance between irony and paradox.
The artist proposes a metaphorical reading of the human condition, playing down, with subtle irony, the sense of emptiness and transience that man can feel in front of his own destiny.

Valente Taddei, born in Viareggio in 1964, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Carrara. He has a large exhibition curriculum, with numerous solo and group exhibitions both in Italy and abroad.
He has created illustrations for book covers and music CDs, magazines, Internet sites. In 2008 he illustrated the essay Pandora, Jean-Pierre Vernant's first woman, published by Einaudi in the L’Arcipelago series, with 10 unpublished plates.
He created the logo and the official poster of the EuropaCinema 2013 edition and the official poster of the 2014 Pietrasantino Carnival.
