todo in January

The holidays are not over yet! If you are in Lucca, to end the holidays in relaxation, if you are not there... to have a reason to join us, here are three things to do in Lucca in this first month of the year.

#unselfiecon...

la Queercia del cararra sulla copertina del calendario mipaf 2021

The Carrara Oak has always been a prima donna for us, and this year it won the cover of the new calendar of monumental trees of Italy 2021.
On the hill of Montecarlo, in the Piana di Lucca, it deserves a walk on a winter Sunday.
A selfie is a must, albeit from a safe distance so as not to harm the Oak and its surroundings and to protect its roots.

befanini

Befanini, small cakes with lots of coloured sugar grains, are the traditional Befana day treat to be prepared the day before in many different shapes.
A few simple ingredients, flour, butter, eggs, sugar, and you're done.
So get to work so you won't run out!
The recipe on madeinlucca.

#acountrywalk

le acque del fiume in inverno

...on the banks of the river. The colours and lights of winter and the panorama of the hills. The Serchio river park, a stone's throw from the Walls of Lucca, is a pleasant walk in nature, among salt pans and poplars.
One last day to recharge your batteries after the festivities and before returning, a walk on the banks of the river park and then, hot chocolate!
