LUCCA TREK

Lucca Trek invites you to discover the great cultural and natural heritage of the Lucca countryside and hills according to a slow, sustainable and authentic way of encountering the territory.

LUCCA TREK - SOUTH

From the ramparts of the Walls of Lucca it is possible to admire the surrounding flat and hilly landscape and some of the heights of Monte Pisano. There are various itineraries by which to immerse oneself in this magnificent countryside and enjoy pleasant experiences on foot among the villages and nature of the Lucca territory, from the CAI (Italian Alpine Club) path network to the great walkways, from the waterways between the Nottolini aqueduct and the Serchio river area to the ancient routes enhanced by the Itinera Romanica+ project.

LUCCA TREK - NORTH

A dense network of paths crosses the northern territory of Lucca, immersing itself in the nature of the Morianese, Brancoleria and Val Freddana to discover places and villages that preserve a historical, artistic and architectural heritage dating back to the Romanesque and early medieval periods. The beauty of the hills is accompanied by a production of quality wine and oil, and along the banks of the Serchio river one can appreciate various natural areas, among which is the renovated Parco dell'Infinito.

There is no shortage of cultural itineraries, such as the Via Francigena and the Via Matildica del Volto Santo, which for centuries have hosted the footsteps of travellers and pilgrims, while along the Gothic Line you can walk on the traces of the history of the last century.

Lucca Trek maps are distributed for free at the tourist information offices of the municipality of Lucca
