15th edition of Il Desco, an exhibition dedicated to Italian flavors and knowledge, which opens Friday 29 November at 1:00 pm in the evocative setting of the Real Collegio in Lucca.

Il Desco 2019, this year also celebrates the most significant technological events of the last century, milestones of modern culture. From the landing on the moon to the birth of the Internet, from the creation of the World Wide Web to the spread of the web, the world has changed and thanks to the birth of international networks people, places, passions and knowledge have come closer decreeing the sharing society . Food is also one of the protagonists of this evolution, helping to bring people and distant places together, encouraging the enhancement of typicality, knowledge of new products and culinary contaminations, up to social eating

The event dedicated to food, a reference point for Italian culinary culture is open on 29, 30 November and 1 December / 6, 7 and 8 December 2019 and full of opportunities in the name of entertainment, culture and entertainment, thanks to the calendar of events for the promotion and dissemination of food and table culture, such as show cooking, sensorial taste workshops, workshops for children, conferences, tastings, mini-courses, exhibitions, aperitifs and contests, which have always been very popular by the public, bringing new people closer to the event.

Il Desco is also Esco dal Desco, an action that links the event to the territory through the promotion of the calendar of events, exhibitions, workshops, conferences and many other opportunities that the territory offers in November / December during the period of the event for all those who want to live a tourist experience but not only at the weekend in Lucca. This year many initiatives have seized the opportunity of Il Desco, to link their events to the event and its themes, proposing guided tours, talks and many more in the name of food culture.
On opening days the exhibition, with free admission, will be open continuously (Friday 12:00 am - 8:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am - 8:00 pm).
