The young Claire Bloom is the co-star (the dance scenes are by dancer Melissa Hayden). It is a film capable of making people laugh, smile and move, with one of the most beautiful soundtracks of all film music, composed by Chaplin himself. It is an extraordinary parable about altruism, trust, courage and love that, sublimated by art, overcomes age differences.
