At the Lucca Center of Contemporary Art an exhibition dedicated to Fortunato Depero entitled Dal sogno futurista al segno pubblicitario (From the Futurist Dream to the Advertising Sign).
Fortunato Depero was one of the signatories of the manifesto of aeropittura and representative of the so-called "second futurism", painter, sculptor, designer, illustrator, set designer and Italian costume designer.
Depero first painted sketches made later with poor materials (metal wires, glass, cardboard, tissue paper) that contained the dream of a total work of art, capable of encompassing all the languages of artistic research, from painting to sculpture, to music, to architecture. Made with mechanisms capable of making them move, the plastic complexes move from the theories expressed in the manifesto Futurist reconstruction of the universe, then plunges into fashion and starts using optical art printed fabrics, based on white and black geometric lattices, or pop art, with bright colors.
