On Saint Stephen's day, the small village turns into Bethlehem and becomes the stage of a living representation of the nativity, welcoming citizens and visitors, who have the chance to live for a day in a medieval village.
During the Christmas holidays, in the area of Capannori, the living representation of the nativity, now in its 30th edition, will cheer up the streets of the town, with shops of ancient arts and crafts, full of actors and visitors, where you will probably meet Mary and Joseph.
The main representation of the event is held in late afternoon: the figurants reach the central square of Ruota in an evocative Christmas atmosphere, created by the lighting of the torches, and give life to the Nativity scene.
In addition, entertainment for children and teens and a concert with traditional Christmas arias, performed by local artists. Of course, you can also visit the craft shops and buy typical products from medieval figures.
The program of Thursday 26 December, 2019:

1.30 pm - Opening of shops
3.30 pm - Christmas Concert Accademia Kalliope & Paola Massoni, soprano
4.30 pm - Mary and Joseph in search of shelter
5.30 pm - The Nativity
6:00 pm - Arrival of the Pastors
6.30 pm - Adoration of the Magi
7:00 pm - Closing of the performance.

In case of bad weather the event will take place on December 29, 2019.
