An exhibition itinerary to tell the story of the Walls of Lucca, inside the Walls of Lucca.

In the basement of the baluardo Santa Croce a compelling narration of images and texts along the two galleries, with the history of the 16th-century Walls, the events of its realisation, the well-known and lesser-known personalities, and the curiosities of this great monument, symbol of the city in the world.

In the centre, in the area of the keep, a projection recounts the complex system of protocols that supervised the opening and closing of the city gates at the time of the Republic of Lucca and, in the parade ground, other panels describe the military functioning of the defensive structure.
