The Teatro del Giglio, which has always been the artistic and cultural reference point of the city of Lucca, celebrates this year the two hundred years since the name "Giglio" was affixed.
The Theater Season 2019-2020 opens with a rich and composite billboard, with a strong impact, which focuses on high-quality proposals: the lyric, which usually inaugurates the season, with titles from the best repertoire of melodrama and important co-productions, great performers of the Italian prose scene, titles and companies of great attraction for dance.

Four appointments with the 2019/2020 Opera Season.

Friday 18 October at 8:30 pm and Sunday 20 October at 4:00 pm - Tosca, opera in three acts by Giacomo Puccini, with libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica. Great and monumental title of the Puccini catalog, against the background of the papal Rome and its intrigues between art, love and politics.
